Coaching Development in Wales - An Overview

Coaching development in Wales is overseen by the coaching development committee, with representatives from each of the rowing regions of Wales.

The role of the committee is to develop coaching and coaches in Wales.

This is to be done by:

  1. Identifying and recruiting coaches
  2. Raising awareness and identify opportunities for coach educators
  3. Promoting courses and workshops
  4. Providing support to the coaching community
  5. Updating clubs and coaches of best practice and regulations
  6. Providing information for a coaching database
  7. Managing UK Coaching Certificate (UKCC) budget for coach development
  8. Contributing to and review of the Coaching Plan for Wales

Support for coaches is carried out by your local coaching representative.  Coaching representatives can be contacted using the contacts on the Committee page.
