About Development Services
Welsh Rowing is working with partners to double the total number of participants in rowing. Further to this there is an aspiration that the growth will be targeted to include hard to reach groups and make rowing more representative of the community.
The broader workforce in rowing is the lifeblood of the sport and Welsh Rowing is determined to ensure they are appropriately trained, motivated and most importantly valued. We will increase the number of new volunteers and retain current volunteers. This involves a focus on all workforce roles excluding coaches who have their own objective.
Welsh Rowing will develop and deliver a coach development programme that is regarded as world class. This programme will be judged against equivalents from other sports in Britain and other rowing nations worldwide.
A copy of the Welsh Rowing Development Plan 2015-2019 can be found here.
Welsh Rowing offer corporate away days to businesses and groups that are looking for team building or social activities. The details can be found here.
